Many guitarists learn the pentatonic minor scale position 1, but don't ever learn to do much with it. Sometimes they'll go on to learn the other 4 positions of the pentatonic scale and only become more confused. They don't know what notes to play, what order to play them in, they don't have any good ideas for beginning a lead solo. They don't know how to do run, how to phrase or how to play guitar licks.
This video series will teach the pentatonic minor position 1 and how to use it to create guitar solos. We will begin by learning how to do pull-offs and hammer-ons using the pentatonic minor and how to do some runs using this position of the pentatonic minor scale. We will later use these techniques to learn more complex guitar riffs and eventually begin to piece everything together.
Let's get started with video #1. I plan to release a few of these videos weekly.
